This innovative program mirrors the content and quality of its on-campus counterpart, emphasizing group projects and case-based learning to provide a comprehensive educational experience.

Dr. Ann Pegoraro, Lang Chair in Sport Management and professor in the Department of Management, highlights the program’s flexibility:

“This allows us to expand and provide the opportunity for more students to study on their own schedule, breaking down the barriers of time zones that are common with distance learning and integrating with students from around the globe.”

Financial support for international students

Understanding the financial challenges faced by international students, the Lang School offers entrance scholarships of up to $15,000 CAD per applicant.

This initiative underscores the school’s commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive student body.

Program structure and learning approach

Designed as a four-year program, the online Bachelor of Commerce in Sport and Event Management employs an asynchronous learning model.

This approach allows students to access course materials and engage in learning activities at their convenience, accommodating various time zones and personal schedules. The curriculum encompasses key areas such as marketing, accounting, leadership, economics, and management, all through a sports management lens.

Additionally, courses on sport media and communications, social media marketing, and the financial aspects of sports provide a well-rounded education.
