Are you creative and passionate about the media landscape and data-driven business models? Welcome to “Talent Meets Bertelsmann 2019”.
Last year, Talent Meets Bertelsmann (TMB) was all about data. And all about contributing innovative ideas for shaping the digital future.
Be a part of an international networking event
Tackle the challenges and opportunities both digitalization and Big Data bring. Join Talent Meets Bertelsmann and build a powerful network at the very start of your career.
You and 50 other students from all over the world will meet experienced Bertelsmann entrepreneurs in Berlin. In small groups, you will work on key business ideas and present your results in front of a jury of Bertelsmann executives.
During an award ceremony, the best business models and designs will be honored – and rewarded with attractive prizes!

TMB received more than 1.000 applications submitted by students from 110 countries.
Out of this impressive application pool, roughly 60 talents from all over the world were selected to participate in demanding workshops and work hand in hand with experienced entrepreneurs on key business ideas.
All participants deployed their entrepreneurial mindset, creativity and passion for the media landscape as well as data-driven business models.
Who should apply?
Talents with entrepreneurial, innovative mindsets and above-average academic performance are encouraged to apply.
Ideally Bachelor, Master, MBA or PhD students from around the world in the field of economics, humanities, media management or business informatics, with experiences in developing creative, data-driven business models and a fascination with cutting-edge digital trends.
Talent Meets Bertelsmann 2019 Program
June 24: Welcome and creative assignment.
June 25: Workshops and presentations of results to the members of Bertelsmann’s Executive Board and the Group Management Committee, followed by award ceremony, dinner and networking party with live music act.
June 26: Meet & greet at the career market.
Application process
- Please apply online, as TMB do not consider applications submitted by mail, fax, or e-mail;
- Your application (in English) should tell about yourself and your goals;
- Your resume should clearly indicate that you are fascinated by media as well as data, and your motivation letter should explain why you are eager to pursue entrepreneurial challenges;
- Please attach any certificates attesting to your proficiency in English if available;
- Application deadline is May 5, 2019.
