This Challenge is unique, as you need to create a short video explaining a complex scientific idea. Keep on reading to find out more about the contest.

What to do to Enter the Breakthrough Junior Challenge

Step 1: Choose Your Topic

Select a challenging yet important to-understand theory, concept, or principle. Eligible topics are within physics, life sciences, or mathematics. The key is to choose a topic that is both fascinating and complex.

Step 2: Create Your Video

Produce a short video (no more than 2 minutes) that explains your chosen topic in an imaginative and illuminating way. Think outside the box! The more extraordinary your video is, the better. Use visual aids like animations, simulations, physical demonstrations, or anything to make your explanation as engaging and clear as possible.

Step 3: Submit and Share

Upload your video to YouTube and share the link in your application. Don’t forget to join the Breakthrough Facebook page and share your video on your own Facebook page. Engage with the community by joining the Peer-to-Peer review process, where you’ll review and score the submissions from five other contestants.
