Eligibility: the HRPA Annual Student Case Competition is open to teams of students currently in their final year of a post-secondary HR program, including students working towards a Diploma, Undergraduate degree, Master’s degree, or Postgraduate degree.

HRPA Student Case Competition 2023
HRPA Student Case Competition is a one-day event that engages the best and brightest upcoming HR leaders and professionals and challenges them to tackle real-life business and HR situations.
Human Resources Professionals Association equips members and students with the knowledge and tools that allow them to be specialized strategic thinkers.
HRPA’s goal is to ensure human resources professionals are recognized as an essential part of business success, and that the profession is as valued by organizations as those of other major professional associations.
HRPA Student Case Competition is a fantastic opportunity for students who want to:
- Apply their classroom knowledge to a real-life business scenario
- Upgrade their resume with impressive and relevant experiences
- Get valuable, constructive feedback directly from a panel of Senior HR Professionals
How does the competition work?
Participating students will be presented with an HR business case on the day of the Case Competition.
They will have 2 hours as a team to read and analyze the case, develop a response strategy, and produce a 20-minute presentation with their team’s recommendations.
A panel of judges, comprised of senior HR Professionals, will review and score the presentations based on a point system.
The top three teams with the strongest presentations will be awarded first, second, and third place prizes.
