PROJECT LAB “FutureCraft: Redefining Sustainable Development, (De-)Growth & Social Justice in (International) Youth Work”

This five-day collaborative event will bring together participants from diverse sectors to co-create practical project ideas, build new partnerships, and exchange knowledge.

Hosted by the Foundation “European Youth Education and Meeting Centre in Weimar”, the event will feature interactive sessions and expert voices from academia, activism, and non-formal education.

Objectives of the PROJECT LAB:

  • Explore Interconnected Challenges: Understand the link between social inequality, environmental degradation, and unsustainable economic growth.
  • Gain Expert Insights: Engage with activists, educators, psychologists, economists, and sustainability experts to broaden your understanding of how systemic forces shape youth attitudes and behaviours.
  • Co-create Solutions: Develop new tools and methods that integrate interdisciplinary insights to apply in your youth work.
  • Build Partnerships: Create meaningful connections with like-minded individuals and organisations, laying the foundation for future collaborative projects.

Eligibility

This event is designed for professionals regularly involved in civil society, youth work, and academia, including Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth project managers, Youth policy makers, Volunteering mentors, Youth coaches, and Youth researchers.

Participants must be from Erasmus+ Youth Programme countries and have English proficiency enough to participate fully in the conference.

Costs, travel reimbursement and accommodation

All participants of PROJECT LAB FutureCraft: Redefining Sustainable Development will stay at the Stiftung Europäische Jugendbildungs- und Jugendbegegnungsstätte Weimar (EJBW). While participation in the event includes accommodation, meals, and all activities, a financial contribution is required based on individual circumstances:

  • Reduced Fee (students, unemployed, volunteers): €25
  • Standard Fee (freelance youth workers, trainers): €50
  • Solidarity Fee (employed participants): €75

Travel costs will be reimbursed based on the cheapest travel options and the European Commission’s distance calculator:

  • 10-99 km: €23
  • 100-499 km: €180
  • 500-1999 km: €275
  • 2000-2999 km: €360
  • 3000-3999 km: €530
