DEMO Africa is a flagship launchpad for emerging technology and trends. Each year, the DEMO Africa conference attracts over 2,000 people from around the globe to experience the finest of Africa’s innovations at their birth.

During the annual DEMO Africa conference, a hand-selected class of new technology products are introduced to the world through an audience of global press and prolific bloggers; investors; corporate acquirers; strategic partners and buyers.

Showcasing African Innovation

For over 25 years DEMO has built an unmatched track record of selecting, promoting and commercializing some of the most game-changing products the world has ever seen.

DEMO Africa is the launchpad for African technology and trends, attracting a global audience of over 2,000 people to experience the finest African innovations as they venture into the markets. Selected startups are introduced to an audience of investors, corporate acquirers, strategic partners and global media practitioners.

Why participate?

The top 30 start-ups will launch their products to an audience of investors, technology buyers, mentors, and the media. Selected finalists will be provided with a pod at the DEMO Pit, as well as access to the Deal and Media Rooms.

The event provides a unique opportunity for African startups to launch their technologies to a global market.

The Demo Format

DEMO Africa takes a conference format. Each of the 30 finalists gets six minutes on stage to truly demonstrate how their product will positively impact the world. While the stage is where the products are unveiled, the DEMO Africa pavilion is where history is made.

The pavilion provides the perfect environment to network, research, form meaningful and strategic relationships and deals at our now famous Deal Rooms!

The Startup Bootcamp

As a precursor to the main event, the DEMO Africa finalists are invited to participate in the Lions@frica boot camp, a two-day workshop to get their pitch ready and allow their founding teams to dive deeper into learnings and extended knowledge resources in addition to the virtual training program.

The program also includes an introduction and access to a myriad of technology resources, speakers and sector specialists, investors, advisors and local innovation actors.
