Would you like to improve your efforts in inclusive approaches in your youth work projects? Are you looking for an opportunity to reflect, evaluate and up you game in your projects?
Join this immersive training program designed for youth workers, project managers, and trainers passionate about enhancing inclusion and diversity in their programs.
Training course: best practices for inclusive and diversity-driven youth work
A mix of hands-on activities and discussions will blend lightness, laughter, and meaningful exchanges. Using non-formal educational methods, the program fosters experiential learning and active participation, allowing you to connect with peers beyond simple networking. These approaches create a rich learning experience that encourages both personal reflection and group collaboration.
Key goals:
Reflect on past projects
- Gain insights into what worked well and what you could improve in your inclusion and diversity approaches.
- Assess how your projects reach their inclusion goals and areas needing improvement.
- Review your project lifecycle from planning to implementation and follow up with your inclusion goals.
- Reflect on whether your project goals were achievable, and identify what could make them more attainable in the future.
Build a sustainable peer support system
- Develop lasting connections and peer networks to foster support and collaboration in inclusive youth work.
Engage in a safer learning space
- Experience a welcoming environment that values diverse perspectives and promotes inclusivity in every session.
Eligibility criteria
This training is for youth workers, trainers, youth project managers, and coaches who have completed at least one Erasmus+ or ESC project focused on inclusion and diversity within the last two years. Participants from all experience levels and backgrounds are welcome to apply. Moreover, deaf youth workers can have a sign language interpreter funded for the duration of the program.
Participants need to come from Erasmus+ Youth Programme countries.
Other important information
Venue: Just outside Turin, Italy, in a fully accessible seminar hotel, suitable for wheelchair users and other special needs.
Dates: February 2-7, 2025 (4.5 working days, including travel days). Prior to the residential training, an online onboarding session will be held.
Costs: Thanks to Erasmus+ Youth funding, all accommodation, meals, and travel costs are covered. There is no participation fee.
