The Barclays summer internship is the perfect tool in bridging the gap between University and working life through a very well-structured programme of live projects, ongoing training and social events that will help you get to grips with the work and lifestyle of a full time analyst within the Banking division at Barclays.
Barclays summer internship programme is specifically designed for students who are interested in gaining real-world experience while developing an understanding of what it is like to work at Barclays. Over the course of the programme, you will begin to understand the skills and capabilities you need to reach top positions within the group. Interns will also be paid a competitive salary during the length of their internship.
Throughout the summer internship, Barclays run regular events that give interns an insight into how a global organisation works, and begins the programme with an induction and training. All of the selected interns will be assigned a ‘Buddy’ – a recent graduate, as a guide during each intern’s time at the company, as well as a senior mentor.
Developing process
During your time with the Bank you will not only receive unique insights into their work by working closely with both juniors and seniors from across the Bank, but you will also take on your own projects and responsibilities within the work place, offering you the chance to stamp your mark in this competitive industry.
The internship also operates a rotation period enabling you to experience different sides of Banking. Barclays are looking for students on track for a 2.1, energetic, initiative and with fresh ideas. Summer internship programmes are open to students in their penultimate year of study.
