Eligibility: anyone who wants to pursue a new Master’s degree.

The Arqus Talent Scholarship Scheme is looking for graduates and students wanting to pursue a Master’s Degree at one of the Arqus partner universities (Granada, Graz, Leipzig, Lyon 1, Maynooth, Minho, Padua, Vilnius and Wroclaw).

Furthermore, the Fellows will attend a compulsory mobility programme at a second Arqus partner.

The Arqus Talent Scholarship Details

The Arqus Talent Scholarship aims to attract and retain talent at the postgraduate level from around the world.

Additionally, it offers:

  • A subsistence allowance of €1,400 per month covers living costs, medical insurance, and materials.
  • Full coverage of tuition fees at the student’s entrance university.
  • The special needs fund is an additional €250 per month for students with fewer opportunities. This fund is applicable if one of the following criteria applies, namely:
    • Refugee/asylum seeker status
    • Caring responsibilities for children or family members with disabilities
    • Disabilities or learning disabilities
    • Chronic diseases

Eligibility criteria

This scholarship is available to talented individuals planning to pursue a Master’s Degree at one of the Arqus partner universities.

However, priority is given to: 

  • refugees/asylum seekers; 
  • students with fewer opportunities;
  • applicants with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree obtained outside the Arqus University where they will undertake their studies or are currently enrolled.

To apply, you must first understand how mobility at a second Arqus university can be integrated into your study programme.

Additionally, you need to actively participate in Arqus activities and serve as an Arqus Ambassador.

Furthermore, compliance with the following requirements is essential:

  • Be selected or have applied for a Master’s programme at an Arqus university with a minimum overall/average grade of B according to the ECTS grading system.
  • Not be currently enrolled in the relevant Master’s or doctoral programme
  • Submit the following documents with your application:
    • Confirmation of application to the entrance university;
    • Motivation statement (max. 4,000 characters);
    • BA/MA diploma/degree certificate;
    • Transcript of records/diploma supplement;
    • Letter of recommendation signed by an academic of your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme;
    • Curriculum Vitae (CV);
    • Passport copy (ID page with photograph);
    • Proof of language proficiency (level B2 or higher) in one of the Arqus languages.
