There are plenty of internship and scholarship programs out there, but sometimes we are not aware of them.

If you are interested in expanding your horizons or enriching your career in a foreign country, you cannot miss these five opportunities.

1. Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships

Deadline: 2018 round information for applicants will be updated closer to the opening of the round
Remuneration: travel allowance ($3.000), establishment allowance ($2.000 fellowships or $4.000 scholarships), monthly stipend (up to $3.000); health insurance for the full category duration and travel insurance
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility:  applicants must be postgraduate or postdoctoral students from one of the participating country or region
Location: Australia

The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships program aim to create Australia’s reputation for excellence in the provision of education and research. Moreover, it aims to provide international and Australian students with the opportunity to increase their productivity and expertise in their field.

2. Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS)

Deadline: There is no established deadline. Check the official webpage of the Government of Malaysia for more information to this regard.
Remuneration: the program covers travel, establishment and visa expenses, apart from a monthly maintenance and medical/health insurance. The remuneration also includes a grant for books and internal travels related to the field of study.
Duration: the duration of the program vary depending on the postgraduate or postdoctoral studies you choose.
Eligibility: applicants must be under 40 years (Postgraduate) and 45 (Postdoctoral) of age at the moment of the application. Some selection criteria must be accomplished.
Location: Malaysia

The Malaysian International Scholarship is an initiative by the Malaysian government to attract brilliant minds from all over the world to pursue advanced studies in different fields. This scholarship aims to attract, motivate and retain talented people with excellent academic records from abroad.

3. Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Exchange 2017

Deadline: there is no specific time for application. Check the registration guideline for more information
Remuneration: the program offers monthly financial assistance which varies from 530 to 1100 depending on the country you choose.
Duration: 6 months to 1 year
Eligibility: aspiring or new entrepreneurs and experienced entrepreneurs.
Location: European Union

The program aims at helping young entrepreneurs gain the necessary skills to run or fund a small business in Europe.

As a new entrepreneur, you have the opportunity to spend a period (one to six months) abroad in another EU country, learning from a host entrepreneur.

As a host, experienced entrepreneur, you can learn from the fresh ideas and motivation of a young mind.

This project is a key contribution to creating an environment within which entrepreneurs can thrive, and entrepreneurship is rewarded.

4. Schwarzkopf travel scholarships

Deadline: the application deadlines are March 1st or September 1st
Remuneration: the travel grant amounts to €550. €400 will be paid at the beginning of the trip, and the rest (€150) after presenting the report
Duration: the trip must last a minimum of three and a maximum of six weeks
Eligibility: people aged between 17 and 25 who have permanently lived in the EU, Russia or Turkey
Location: European Union

Schwarzkopf Foundation is a German institution which promotes the citizen development of the European young people. The travel scholarships are designed to give young people the opportunity to travel in other European countries. Their objective is to allow journeys committed to studying a specific cultural or political aspect of the European integration.

If you are from Germany, you will have the opportunity to travel through Europe while analysing the political and cultural aspects of the countries you are visiting, while if you are from another EU country you can enjoy a trip through Germany.

5. Fulbright foreign student program

Deadline: Fulbright operates on a yearly cycle which generally starts 15 months before the start of the grant with a deadline of 12 or 11 months before the grant’s start date.
Remuneration: the grant terms vary from country citizenship and program. Take a look at the individual country pages for more information.
Duration: 
6 months to 1 year.
Eligibility: every student with a bachelor degree (or equivalent) may apply to this program. Check here the application details according to your citizenship.
Location: United States

The Fulbright foreign student program enables graduate students or young professionals from abroad to study or conduct research in the United States. The stay may vary from 6 months to one year. This is a great opportunity to continue your academic training abroad and enrich your professional career.

The selection process may be tough, but it is worth it.
