Join global thought leaders, government representatives, and International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) experts in a space created for young people at the 2024 IRENA Youth Forum.
The youth forum will be held during the Agency’s fourteenth assembly, where Heads of State/Government, Ministers, and global stakeholders meet to discuss and advance energy transition.
Join in the Agency’s mission of accelerating renewable energy deployment and add a youth perspective during:
- interactive sessions
- open dialogues
- thematic workshops
During the program, you’ll be able to share your ideas and solutions towards renewable energy, sustainable development, and connect with experienced decision-makers and experts in the field.

Eligibility criteria for participants
The event is globally oriented and looking for a wide representation, especially from youth in Least Developed Countries, Small Island Developing States, and developing countries aged between 16 and 35 years.
Full sponsorship is available for up to 35 participants, depending on their commitment to accelerating progress on renewable energy deployment. The application form requires participants to submit answers that will determine eligibility as well as attach a CV written in English.

The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is a leading agency in the field of energy transitions, innovation in sustainable use of renewable energy, and widely understood sustainable development.
IRENA’s mission is the development and establishment of new synergies, sharing their best policies, and fostering cooperation at both regional and global levels. It also makes sure that all the innovation is being developed and made accessible to governments and the private sector.
The Agency consists of 168 countries, including the members of the European Union. All those countries are engaged in developing strategies and programs to accelerate the transition towards renewable energy sources.
