For five days, Istanbul will be the startup capital of Europe by connecting top-investors with upcoming startups. While more than 100 startups, 1,500 attendees and 200 investors will take part, participants will also hear Silicon Valley legend Steve Blank, serial entrepreneur, academician and co-founder of E.piphany, give the event’s keynote speech. He will also be a part of the Startup Istanbul Challenge jury, together with Dave McClure, founder of 500 Startups, in order to select the three most promising startups among 100 participating companies.

Last year, shortly after Turkish startup “Connected2Me”, a global messaging platform with more than 2.6 million registered users, became the winner of the startup competition in last year’s Startup Istanbul, it received a 432,000 US Dollar investment from 500 startups and relocated to Silicon Valley.

Attendees come from more than 40 countries worldwide, and Other notable speakers at StartupIstanbul include: Morten Lund, Danish co-founder and investor of the world-famous Skype; Ronald Hans, popular Dutch blogger, entrepreneur and co-founder of WeTransfer; Kimberly Kadlec, global marketing veteran and president of Starcom MediaVest Group, and many more.
