START FIELD Diamond Competition 2016 is an award of the St. Galler Kantonalbank for innovative young companies in eastern Switzerland.

Working closely with the club starting field supports and promotes the St.Galler Kantonalbank total of five companies per year with advice, training and a total prize money of CHF 50’000. The nominated young companies also have access to a broad knowledge and contact network in all of eastern Switzerland.

Starting square diamond is aimed at young companies from eastern Switzerland, which have been established in more than four years ago. Date is the 1st of January 2012 (HR-entry). Participating companies are evaluated according to the following criteria:

• Business model
  What is the use endows your business customers?
• Positioning
  Which new offer to differentiate themselves in the market?
• Entrepreneurs Team
  What skills combines your business?
• Budget
  How do you assess the current and future development of your company?

Starting square diamond shows not only a winner. A total of five start-up companies benefit from the award. The winners will have the opportunity to participate in various events in the SME Business Network Eastern Switzerland. So they can make valuable contacts with experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders. Furthermore, the selected contractor teams throughout the project phase are accompanied medially.

Management Seminars

The selected by the Jury for young companies get the opportunity to specifically develop their business models under four management seminars. The four modules are led by outstanding faculty with professional and practical experience. The finalists will benefit from the personal interaction with the lecturers.

Business Network Eastern

The winners will have the opportunity to participate in various events in the SME Business Network Eastern Switzerland. So they can make valuable contacts with experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Media presence

The selected contractor teams are accompanied medially during the entire project phase and thus gain additional publicity to what is particular in the founding phase of great value. In addition, a professional video portrait is rotated by the finalists.

Awards

The starting field diamond is endowed with a total of CHF 50,000 and will be divided among the best candidates:

• 1st place: CHF 30,000
• 2nd to 5th place: the 5,000 francs
