The Infiniti Accelerator driven by Nest is a 12-week, mentor-focused programme in Hong Kong run by an experienced team of startup and industry experts. Up to 8 founders will be selected to join the programme specifically designed support and accelerate the progress of early-stage Smart City and Internet of Things (IoT) companies.
Leveraging both the Nest and Infiniti’s exceptional business networks, participants will benefit from the knowledge and expertise of key industry leaders and renowned entrepreneurs. Furthermore, mentors can offer access to a wider network of contacts that could significantly accelerate a company’s development in just 12 weeks. Mentors are specifically selected depending on the current needs of each startup and it is hoped that the mentor/founder relationship will continue on after the completion of the programme.
Infiniti Accelerator program
Being part of a vibrant and exciting startup ecosystem in one of the world’s most dynamic cities. The programme will predominantly take place at the Infiniti Lab HKG, a dedicated open-plan, multifunctional space in the heart of the city. Here you’ll not only have the space to think and develop your ideas, without the financial pressure of renting an office space, you’ll also be able to collaborate with and work alongside the other founders in your cohort – something which has proven to be hugely valuable in previous Nest-powered accelerators. Regular events promoting entrepreneurship and innovation will take place across the 12-weeks; these sessions will be open to accelerator startups and as well as Hong Kong’s innovation community.
Infiniti Accelerator is aimed at supporting entrepreneurs and startups globally. Through this programme they will provide mentorship from carefully selected business leaders and experts, not only in SmartCity but also in funding, marketing, PR, scaling, running concepts, pilot testing and more. Infiniti will support the companies accepted into the programme by providing mentors, visibility and network opportunities. Founders will also benefit from Nest’s global network of investors, corporates and startups.

Eligibility
Infiniti Accelerator is looking for founders and early-stage companies who are developing technology solutions across the spheres of urban mobility, utilities, connected hardware, communications or real-estate. They will be accepting applications from startups based anywhere in the world but they should have aspirations to build their business in Asia. Founders of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to apply!
Examples of technology this programme is designed for includes, but is not limited to:
- Smart energy, green tech, smart grid, smart lighting
- Connected vehicles, autonomous drive
- Smart home, automated living, smart appliances
- Internet of things, smart connectivity
- Urban mobility, urban planning, smart buildings
The Infiniti Accelerator programme is free for startups. Infiniti will cover some of the costs associated with one founder moving to Hong Kong for the duration of the programme. The Visa will all be arranged by them once you’ve been accepted into the programme. Anyone from anywhere can apply. If you’re accepted, you’ll need to have a legal right to be in Hong Kong. Infiniti and Nest will try and provide working visas for successful companies for the duration of the programme. Due to the 12-week duration of the programme, most applicants will need to apply for an extension of their visa or obtain a multiple entry visa. This can only be done when you have arrived in Hong Kong and the process may vary according to country you are from.
The Infiniti Accelerator is described as being powered by Nest, meaning that the content of the programme is created and delivered by Nest.
